Homeschool co-op management software.

SchoolOpEx runs a homeschool co-op’s class sign-ups, volunteer jobs, co-op fees and messages to member families, with each class fee paid straight to the teaching parent who teaches it. Plans start at $27 a month for up to 20 students.

Everything a co-op day needs, in one place.

Sessions, classes, volunteer jobs and co-op fees, kept by the board and seen by every member family.

Class sign-ups that fill fairly.

Open sign-ups for the session and let member families choose classes for each child. A full class takes a waitlist in order, so nobody has to referee the group chat.

Volunteer jobs, shared and counted.

List the jobs a co-op day needs and let families pick the ones that fit. Volunteer job hours add up for each family across the session, and an open job is easy to spot.

Co-op fees, paid to the right person.

Each class fee goes straight to the teaching parent who teaches it, and supply fees and membership go to the co-op. The treasurer sees what is paid and what is due without a spreadsheet.

Questions co-op boards ask

How is a co-op priced?

By the number of students enrolled: $27 a month for up to 20, $57 for up to 50 and $97 for up to 100, or less paid yearly, plus any sales tax.

Does a class fee go to the co-op or the teaching parent?

Straight to the teaching parent who teaches the class. Supply fees and membership go to the co-op, and SchoolOpEx never holds the money or takes a share.

Can we track volunteer job hours?

Yes. Families pick volunteer jobs for each co-op day, and their volunteer job hours add up across the session.

Do we have to take attendance or give grades?

No. Attendance per session and grades are both optional, so your co-op turns them on only if it wants them.

Can new families apply for membership?

Yes, if you want them to. Membership applications are optional, with forms and signatures on any phone.

What does our treasurer get?

A view of what each member family has paid and still owes, and an export for the co-op’s books.
