Software for hybrid homeschool learning centers.

SchoolOpEx runs a learning center’s enrollment, class sign-ups, attendance on learning days, and tuition and fees, and keeps homeschool records for the days families teach at home. Every plan includes every feature.

Learning days, class sign-ups and home days, together.

Hybrid families learn with you some days and at home the rest. SchoolOpEx keeps both halves of the week in one record.

Enrollment and class sign-ups with open spots.

Families enroll, then choose classes for each child. Every class shows its open spots, a full class takes a waitlist, and the next family can be offered a spot that opens.

  • Open spots by class
  • Waitlists in order
  • Enrollment forms and signatures

Attendance on learning days.

Teachers open to the class in front of them and take attendance in a few taps, with allergies and health plans beside each name. If you run before-care or after-care, families can be checked in and out too.

  • Attendance by class
  • Optional before-care and after-care check-in
  • Pickup notes where teachers see them
A teacher’s Today screen: Math, Grade 6 is on now with 33 minutes left, attendance not taken yet, and the class roster with allergy and health plan flags.
Attendance on a phone: a grid of students, each marked Here, with an allergy flag on one and a pickup note on another.

Homeschool records for the days at home.

Turn on homeschool records for your families and keep their home days beside their days with you. You can supervise their records, and each family keeps them in the shape their state asks for.

  • Learning days counted
  • Subjects for each child
  • Records you can supervise
Who takes what: nine subjects down the side and three children across the top, aged 6, 9 and 12, with a ring for each subject a child takes this week.

Tuition and fees in one bill.

Bill tuition and class fees together. Families pay by bank transfer or card, on autopay or a payment plan, into your own account.

  • Tuition and class fees
  • Autopay and payment plans
  • An export for your bookkeeper

Updates families actually read.

Each class has a page for its teachers and families. Post updates, mark the ones that must be read, and see which homes tapped Got it. Parents who would like to help can pick up volunteer jobs.

  • Must-read updates
  • Private replies to the teacher
  • Optional volunteer jobs
Updates for the families of a Grade 3 homeroom: a box to write an update, the teacher’s recent posts, two marked must-read with a bar showing how many homes tapped Got it, and private replies.

How much does a learning center of 70 students pay?

$97 a month or $797 a year on the Up to 100 students plan, plus any sales tax, with every feature included.

Can families choose classes themselves?

Yes. Families choose classes for each child, see the open spots, and join a waitlist when a class is full.

Can we keep homeschool records for the days families teach at home?

Yes. You can turn on homeschool records for your families and supervise them, and each family keeps them in the shape their state asks for. Families stay responsible for their state’s rules.

Our students come two or three days a week. Does attendance work for that?

Yes. Attendance is taken in the classes each student is signed up for, on the days they attend.

Can we run before-care and after-care?

Yes. Before-care and after-care check-in is an option you can turn on.

Can parents volunteer?

Yes, if you want them to. Volunteer jobs are optional, and families pick the ones that fit their day.
